Eileen and Dustin are an awesome couple that we've loved getting to know better! Jenny met Eileen back in 2005 when the two of them were younger and worked together (often catering weddings) at Juday Creek Golf Course nearby in Granger, Indiana. Twelve years later we had a meeting with them this year in our consultation office to chat about their 2018 wedding and unknowingly had the longest chat with them in our 8 years of photographing weddings! It was as if we'd been reunited with old friends and we chatted about anything and everything for hours (food, funny photos, wedding decoration ideas, Dustin, all of our combined pets, etc)! It was definitely a great time and we're so excited to get to hang out with them more! We'll be photographing their wedding in Michigan on Cinco de Mayo of next year and have had the pleasure of heading up to St. Joe, Michigan to photograph them twice within the past month! We won't spoil anything, but we're SO excited about their holiday photos that we captured (we'll share in late December around Christmas) AND about the amazing details of their wedding... oh and this Engagement Session that we captured a little over a week ago!
Since the weather didn't cooperate the first time we headed up to St. Joe, Michigan a couple weeks prior, we headed back up a little over a week ago to capture these two in their element. We started off downtown at a brewery that they enjoy, then headed around to a good handful of spots downtown before making our way to the beach (Silver Beach at Lake Michigan).
While downtown we worked our way through some of the many picturesque streets and alleyways that are found near the beach of the lakeside community. We headed to some of our favorite spots as well as some cool, new spots and captured them playing around and joking with each other. Before heading out to the beach itself we stopped and photographed them playing by a large fountain/splash pad, dodging some geysers of water, and staying relatively dry.
We made it to the beach right at sunset and were able to capture some photos of them on some sand dunes as the sun was setting and also at twilight!
We absolutely loved that these two brought some lawn flamingos (very in line with their upcoming fun wedding with some tropical elements) and we upped the ante by photoshopping in a ton more flamingos! .
When we started to leave from the beach we remembered that they had wanted some dancing photos, so we made a quick return to the splash pad near the beach and deeply hoped that the water wouldn't turn on full blast while we were photographing them! Eileen got into her dance poses beautifully and we absolutely love how the neon lights of the pizza restaurant light up them and the water
Thanks so much for an amazing time, Dustin and Eileen! We're so excited to help figure out how the final holiday cards will look and we can't wait to get you your physical prints from your Engagement Session! You two are so fun to work with and be around, so we genuinely can't wait for your wedding. We love that you two are so open-minded to silly photos, laugh hysterically with each other, and in general have such awesome attitudes... and awesome pets!
Coming up in just a few days we're photographing the long awaited Zach & Kelly's wedding! These two live in Chicago and are heading in this week for their University of Notre Dame Basilica wedding and Morris Park Country Club preparation and reception! We're so excited to capture these two around campus (and on the stadium field-!!) and are very excited to share some of those photos next week. These two have some very cool, unique elements within their wedding that we can't wait to photograph!
Other Sessions we'll be adding to the blog in the next month or two include Colette's Infant Session that we captured in our studio, George's 100th birthday party celebration in New Carlisle, Megan & Nolan's rustic Indianapolis wedding, Heather's Family Portrait Session, a local 96 year old's Birthday Portrait Session, and some Halloween portraits! We can't wait to share all of this with you in the coming month or two, so stay tuned for more weddings and portraits of our amazing clients!
