Hooley Family Portrait Session in Goshen, Indiana!

We absolutely love fall Family Portrait Sessions and this one was one of our faves this year! Heather went to high school with Jenny and reached out to us in June inquiring about a fall Family Portrait Session, so we'd been coordinating & looking forward to capturing their family photos for 4 months-! Though the end of October wasn't yet very "fall colored" yet in our area up near the bottom of Lake Michigan, Heather chose a great country spot from our list of locations and we love the subdued colors. (Oddly enough though there used to be snow at the end of October in our city when we were younger, it has started to take until the 2nd and 3rd weeks of November- here in the chilly 35 to 45 degrees outside- to be able to see fall colors on trees in our clients' portraits in this past week.) We absolutely loved working with their family (with their sons being a couple of the calmest kids we've photographed over the past 8 years) and their great attitudes! Today we're delivering one of their beautiful physical photo products that came with their Session and are so happy with how it turned out. Not only that, but I (Jenny) loved quickly catching up with Heather for the first time since high school in probably over 12 years, meeting her kids, meeting her husband, and hearing about their wedding a few years ago out of state! Without further adieu, check out the Hooley Family Portraits of 2017!

Though their family lives in South Bend (as do we), we headed up to Goshen for the Hooleys' fall Family Portrait Session! We love photographing at this location and we're so glad that Heather chose this spot from the list of possible locations for their family photos. The place has a very rural, country look to it with tons of old cars, a pond, and barn scattered throughout the property and this year finally started hosting weddings within the barn-! (The owners are fantastic and remodeled the home and barn on the property in order to host events and weddings on the property. The work they put in over last fall and winter paid off immensely and it was wonderful to see the new updates on the barn, bridal suite, etc.) We started off photographing the family on and near the old cars (which are such rustic beauties), then let the boys play around a bit in a truck bed!

After the trucks, we headed over to the long rope swing and barn for some more family portraits and fun! The boys were loving the family time and quickly got used to our cameras (even cheesing for our cameras!).

We ended their Session near the venue's pond and captured a few photos of the family on a small dock. Bobby (the youngest) did a great job lasting throughout the entire Session! After the last family portraits, Heather and Doug let their son Jason go play on the property's tractor since he is a big fan of tractors and trains.  We even took a few photos of him enjoying himself as he pretended to drive the tractor around!

All-in-all the Session was a great success and we absolutely love the photos from the Hooley family's 2017 fall Portrait Session! There's a good mix of candids interspersed with some classic posed family photos, so we were thrilled that we didn't get rained out. Thanks so much for reaching out to us for your family portraits, Hooley family! We had a blast with ya!

This week we have a heavy photo editing and photo physical product delivering week with some more Portrait Sessions wrapping up over the past few days. This week we're busily hand writing letters, printing photos, packaging products, varnishing and engraving more photo boxes, heading to the post office to send out physical photos across the country, and editing 3 more Sessions! We're excited for awesome new couples that we've met with in our Consultation Office over the past few weeks booking us for weddings in 2018 and 2019! We always love finalizing contracts so that we 100% reserve wedding weekend dates that go ever so quickly and we're definitely noticing which weekend dates are the most popular for next year/ summer & fall. We can't WAIT for our Spring weddings, though!!

Next week the day before Thanksgiving we're sharing with you here on our Weekly Wednesday blog a recent 98th Birthday Portrait Session with ya and then during the last week of November we'll be sharing with ya a Senior Portrait Session from this week! We only have about a month and a half left to get our current clients' physical photography product orders designed, printed, and sent, so we'll be jam packed with photo work until the end of this year and are so thankful for that! We do have a California & Mexico travel notice coming up in January that includes over 2 weeks of holiday family & friend visits interspersed with photo work here & there, so if interested in booking us for an Engagement Session, Family Portraits, Senior Portraits, Newborn Portraits, or a general (headshot, work, or birthday) Portrait Session, reach out to us at info@jennyandjasonphoto.com to inquire about dates and our magazine guide about the type of Session you're interested in-!
