Little Nash was born late, late night on June 11th, 2020 at the start of June. This little nugget was born a whopping over 2 weeks early surprising his entire family! We had a very full month of work to do throughout June, but Jenny was able to slip in a few days to visit with her first nephew in between things-!
For his Lifestyle Newborn Session Nash was a little under 2 weeks old-! We always try to photograph Newborns within their first 10 days of life because after that first week & a half these little bundles of joy become more squirmy and awake (making it harder to keep them asleep and calm for photos). Most who specialize in studio Newborn Sessions take 3 full hours to quietly and gently move little newborns into new positions in different outfits (in between potty accidents and waking/ crying) on different props. Since Jenny was On Location in her sister’s home without our own studio newborn props/ studio lighting & backdrop, she decided to focus the Session more as a Lifestyle Newborn Session with his parents Jill & Adam (and even found items to style a sort of Studio Set for some solo photos of Nash relaxing). Afterward she was even able to capture a few more of Nash with his doggies as his dad had to head out of town for the weekend.
>>>>Without further adieu, meet Nash!<<<<<<
Nash is a little nugget. During the visit he was a mostly quiet little snugglebug making a few cute cooing noises. His preemie and newborn clothes still didn’t fit him yet almost 2 weeks in to life, so we had to make do.
Our aunt Beth out in Arizona bought little Nash a Pandemic baby face shield and astonishingly it fit him, so of course we had to include some Pandemic safety within the Session-!
Nash has 2 curly haired doggies who just got their hair cut since the weather was hovering around 110 (and they have quite a bit of hair). Nash’s dad Adam is allergic to fur, so these two have hypoallergenic hair and we have yet to find out if Nash will be able to hang out with our dogs & cat (though we hope to find out in a couple months if they do still visit for a local Baby Shower since the one in April was obviously cancelled due to Covid).
Overall Jenny photographed Nash with his parents & pups for 2.5 hours, so with 600+ photos taken, these are are absolute favorites. We are SO thankful that Jenny was able to get in & out of Arizona for a few days to meet our nephew before Arizona hit their FIRST big amounts of cases of Covid-19 and we hope that Jason can meet Nash if he’s able to visit us later this year-! It’s been weeks since Jenny’s return, so she’s in the clear and everything’s been fine since she intelligently masked up in her KN95 during any of the short public portions of travel. We each only have 1 sibling (Jenny, Jill, Jason, Josh), so it’s a BIG DEAL that our ONLY siblings have each had their first kids within 9 months of each other and we’re so glad that we’ve gotten to see our newborn niece & nephew. We’re sad that we can’t just freely visit whenever we want, but we hope that through everyone’s hard work wearing masks in the necessary public grocery shopping and any summer activities, maybe we can start to DECREASE the amount of Covid cases & deaths (especially since we are again surpassing ALL countries with our number of cases & deaths).
An early Happy 1 Month to Nash whose 4 week mark is TOMORROW! Congratulations again, Jill & Adam and we hope to get to see and celebrate him again in a couple months around here in the Midwest-! We already have plans for both of our new niece & new nephew to come visit us to play at lakes in Michigan next summer, so here’s to better post-Pandemic family times-!! (And yes, we’ve already bought them life vests, arm floaties, a barney-esque inflatable raft, have 2 pack & plays that we were told that could be borrowed/ used, mini sandals, mini sunglasses, and more-! Auntie & Uncle are so ready to have fun with you two!)
_________ Unrelated: This week we are finishing up the edits on wedding photography that we’ve captured over the past full month-! We just had our first weekend off of photographing our awesome couples in OVER a month and are pretty much down to 4 final printed photo packages to print, package, & deliver and one final wedding to finish editing in the next 3 days (by Saturday night)! We’ve had some very interesting last second photography requests lately, but we’re honestly looking forward to the second half of July wherein we’ll be updating our website with a year & a half’s worth of the most photography we’ve ever created for clients in a year-! We’re also SO looking forward to capturing Chicagoans Elise & Matt’s Engagement Session coming up soon-! ((You REALLY don’t want to miss this one as it’s going to be one of the unique & entertaining ones we’ve ever photographed in 11 years)).
Next month in August we start back in on capturing the FULL massive 11 hour weddings for our couples (much different from all of the Pandemic 7 to 15 person weddings we’ve been capturing every weekend this summer) here in Indiana, but in the meantime we have a lot more work to tackle before the odd August to December Pandemic Wedding Peak Season 2020. Our couples have been seriously so fantastic through this scary & weird year and we’re so ready to see them finally make it to their special day that many of them have had to push back by 4 months to over a year due to Pandemic safety worries. This year has been extremely trying for oh so many of us from engaged couples to small business owners to the entire workforce (Work from Home Pros at this point), but when all of our couples handle all of the adversity with such strength it’s hard not to be in awe of & try to emulate those who continue to push forward while also being kind and generous to those around them. Thank you for being good role models of what continued teamwork, hard work, and authentic kindness look like-!
