You may have noticed that we skipped out on last week’s Weekly Wednesday blog post. We did this because that Sunday we’d celebrated Valentine’s Day, that Tuesday early morning before work we grabbed a ton of Paczkis for Paczki Day/ Fat Tuesday, and Wednesday was actually Jason’s 30-something-th Birthday, so we got good meals To Go that day! We’re back this week to share with you some of the things that we published in 2020 including magazine work & client couple Wedding Albums (which we photographed weddings for and designed)-! Obviously our 2020 weddings were pushed back to 2021 for Pandemic legal AND personal/ logistical/ moral reasons by our clients here in Indiana, Michigan, and Chicago, but we WERE able to still design, print, and ship out some wedding albums to those who had their weddings prior to the Pandemic or stragglers who didn’t choose their 2019 wedding album photos until January 2020-! Only our top Wedding Collection (out of 3 Collections) includes a physical wedding album, so only a portion of our clients even get the physical wedding albums, though we LOVE working on them! We ALSO started 2020 out pretty strong in January/ Winter 2020 with a FULL SPREAD of 12 images in a local Midwest Wedding Magazine-! You may remember us having been published in their Winter 2018-2019 Edition, so it was nice to be published in a Full Spread this time-! (We also captured the 2nd Most Popular photo on their magazine Instagram Page that has about 14,000 followers, so that was the icing on top of the cake finding that out this December- ironic since it was a literal photograph that we made of a wedding cake).
We’ll soon be working on a new Wedding Album for a couple who had moved their big wedding date back at least 3 to 4 times from May 2020 to June 2020 to 2 different summer dates for 2021 (set to be wed in the gorgeous Conservatory jungle with their reception at The Brick) who are now the first/ only of our couples so far to fully cancel their large formal wedding & reception coming up in June 2021 in 4 months. We luckily already photographed other things for them safely & legally (including their Engagement Session back in 2019 or 2018) so we’ll be sharing their album (which we’ll probably make & deliver in late Summer 2021) and more of the upcoming late Sept through Dec 2021 Wedding Albums in early 2022-! Until then, enjoy some of the albums & magazine images we created in 2020-!
We hope you enjoyed checking out some of the work we did on just the physical albums and magazines-! We had thought about adding in images of all of the invitations, printed photographs, Print Boxes, etc that we made for our clients as well, but to be honest we forgot to add all of those in (and those were largely quick cell phone images before or after we wrapped up those products for our clients, so it’s not a huge deal.) As we’ve said before, thanks so much to our wonderful clients, couples, families, etc. for sticking with us through the Pandemic and rescheduling to safer Late Summer 2021 times!! We all got through that stressful year together and we hope that the photographs that we captured of you and your loved ones in the past have been proudly hanging on your walls and cherished as we all hope and plan to see loved ones once again as we get ahold of this Pandemic-!
Today we got our 2nd vaccination shot about 13 hours ago. Within hopefully 2 weeks/ 14 to 21 days that final vaccination shot will have fully set in (by March 16th, 2021 at the latest) up to 95.6% ! We lucked out on being offered a free vaccination that was set to expire 3 weeks ago (they knew our ages and profession), so we’re very thankful and Jenny has been helping folks in 4 states get grandparents, teachers, etc vaccinated! We hope that this will make photographing all of our clients (while we’re masked in KN95s) safer for all of our clients and keep us working full-time. If you don’t yet qualify to get vaccinated you can volunteer to help at vaccination clinics which helps the clinic and requires you to get vaccinated too (since they don’t want you getting new not-yet-vaccinated patients sick).
Here’s some helpful Covid-19 Vaccination information that we compiled one-by-one for you to share with others/ take into account as of February 24th, 2021. We have only researched these 4 states so far, so if you want to add to this list with your state, please email us at: info@jennyandjasonphoto.com :
Indiana is 60 & older, healthcare workers, frontline workers, & folks who were on expiring vaccine waitlists who are expected to come get the vaccine within 5 minutes to an hour when called (with ages listed- we also added career). (**I believe after they released this information in the newspaper, they may have stopped the waitlist a week ago).
Michigan is Teachers/ child care and pre-K through high school staff, anyone 65 & older, healthcare + frontline essential workers, & congregate care facilities. **ADDITIONALLY DETROIT's Mayor is allowing 55 years & older to get vaccinated IF THEY DRIVE someone 65 & older to also get vaccinated-! (OR someone 60 and older with medical issues- check this article: https://www.freep.com/.../covid-19-vaccine.../6800740002/... )
Ohio is Teachers K-12, anyone 65 & older, those with severe congenital or developmental disorders, & healthcare + frontline workers.
California is those with a "high chance of exposure," those 65 & older, healthcare workers, frontline workers (fire stations included starting back in December), etc.
